If you have a few moments, I’d like to highlight a few of the features and benefits that we’ve built into the Lutheran Philosopher resource page.
The Lutheran Philosopher Videos Are Searchable
One of the most amazing features of the Lutheran Philosopher resource page is that all of the videos are searchable. In other words, you can type in a key word or phrase and search the entire video library to see if I mentioned your query in any of the content.
For example, if you have a question about “philosophy” … you can type that word into the search bar and in a matter of seconds the site will reference the specific video(s) and the exact location(s) where “philosophy” is mentioned.
Here’s how you can use the search function:
- go to the Lutheran Philosopher resource page (here)
- look for the search bar at the top of the page
- the bar will say “search all videos here”
- type in your key word (example: “philosophy)
- look for the results
Here are a few screen shots of the search.
Search Bar at Top of Page
Search Results (173 words across 15 media)
As the Lutheran Philosopher video archive grows, the “searchie feature” will be an amazing reference guide.
Try typing your own word/topic into the search bar or query the following words and see what comes up …
- “Christ” or “wisdom”
- “life we have lost in living”
- “Aristotle” or “Augustine” or “Aquinas”
- or cultural discussions about “diversity”, “inclusivity”, “equity”
Other Great Video Study Tools
I also wanted to make you aware of some great study tools that we’ve embedded in the videos.
- all of the videos are closed captioned for easier viewing on your mobile device
- downloads of the video, audio and transcript are available in the bottom right frame of the video
- you can also view and search through a transcript of the video by hovering over the “magnifying lens” at the top right corner of the video frame
